Hi everyone! April's been a right mixed bag of chores for me, to be honest. Less of that hard graft on site, which my old bones are grateful for, but plenty of head-scratching and decision-making.

First off, we've been getting down to the nitty-gritty. Bathrooms and changing rooms…it might not sound glamorous, but it's important! We've been looking at materials, finishes, all the bits and bobs to make sure they're the best for you lot.

Then there's the lighting and upholstery. You wouldn't think it, but it makes a world of difference to the feel of a place. We want it to be bright and energising, but also comfy and welcoming. It's a fine balance, let me tell you!

And of course, we've been having more meetings about the gym equipment. Can't tell you the names yet, but let's just say we're getting the best of the best. Luke's been doing his research, and I've been chipping in with my two pence, making sure it's all up to scratch.

What's been brilliant, though, is all the folks stopping me in the street or when I'm trying to get a workout in myself, asking about the new gym. It's great to see so much interest! Makes all the hard work worthwhile.

I've hung up my hard hat a bit this month, I must admit. Become more of a tech wizard in the office, tapping away at the computer. Looking forward to a very productive May with the construction, though, getting things really moving.

We're looking after the lads on site, of course. Keeping the fridges stocked with plenty of grub and drinks. Can't have them working on an empty stomach!

And don't forget, we've got that giveaway contest running on our Instagram! Head over to @officialcastlegym and pre-register online to enter. You might just bag yourself a win!

So, that's April in a nutshell. A bit less sweat, a bit more thought, but still plenty of progress. We're getting there, folks, and it's going to be something special.

Until next time, keep fit and keep smiling!

Ray.
