Hi Castle Gym patrons!

Ray here, as we push through September and start counting down the final few months, the energy on the site is electric. We’ve moved past the heavy structural work and are now in the phase that truly separates a gym from a super gym: the critical detailing that defines an elite experience. This month, all our major updates are centred around two things: the quality of the finish and the quality of the community we’re building.

LUSSO Luxury Changing Rooms

We’ve talked relentlessly about the quality of our equipment (hello, Gym80!), but your experience shouldn't end when you step off the weights floor. We believe the time before and after your workout is just as important, it’s your time to prepare and recover.

That commitment to building an elite facility extends far beyond the gym floor, which is why we partnered with LUSSO for our washroom and changing facilities. This collaboration ensures that every detail, from the vanity units to the shower fittings, reflects the highest standards of luxury design and build quality. By integrating LUSSO’s signature finishes, we guarantee our changing rooms and private showers will be a premium, durable, and beautiful space, providing the perfect conclusion to a world-class workout. This isn't just a place to change; it's a place to recharge.

Setting the Mood

The environment you train in has a massive impact on your motivation and focus. A poorly lit, clinical space can zap your energy before you even start your first set.

That’s why this month we completed our final meetings with the lighting design team. We are ensuring the lighting isn’t a fixed, one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, we are installing fully adjustable systems, allowing us to create a dynamic and motivating atmosphere across the gym floors. Think focused, intense lighting in the strength areas, and softer, more atmospheric lighting for recovery and stretching zones. This attention to lighting detail is another piece of the puzzle that ensures every moment you spend at Castle Gym is optimized for peak performance.

Welcoming The Movement Community

While we are focused on world-class facilities, we are fundamentally a local business, built by Nottingham people, for Nottingham people. With that in mind, I'm thrilled to announce our official partnership with The Movement Community, a fantastic local running club.

The Movement Community embodies the spirit of dedication, support, and healthy obsession that Castle Gym is all about. We look forward to hosting their runs, supporting their athletes, and integrating their passion for movement into our growing family. This is what community partnership looks like, two local groups coming together to make Nottingham a healthier, fitter city. If you’re a runner or just looking to take up the sport, keep an eye out for ways to get involved!

With the core structure complete, the Gym80 equipment order finalised, and the changing rooms elevated by LUSSO, we are truly just months away from opening the doors. Thank you for your continued patience and support. The final results are going to be worth every second of the wait.
